SUNNIC and CATL Join Hands to Donate Supercharging Station in Motuo, Tibet, Promoting Electrification on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau

On October 12, Shanghai SUNNIC New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. ("SUNNIC"), and Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd. ("CATL"), signed a donation agreement with the People's Government of Motuo County, Tibet, to construct a cutting-edge supercharging station in Motuo. This initiative not only fills in a green piece of the puzzle for eco-friendly transportation in the Linzhi region but also sows the seeds of new energy development in Tibet.

Motuo: The Beautiful Plateau Flower in Our Global Village

Motuo, which translates to "flower" in Tibetan, is situated in the southwest of China, on the eastern edge of the Himalayan Mountains. Its unique geographical location makes it the last county in China accessible by road. This location, combined with its climatic conditions, has created a magnificent natural environment, earning it the reputation as one of the last pristine places on Earth. However, being nestled amid mountains also presents challenges for transportation and energy supply. This highland "flower" remains a bit hard to reach.

CATL and SUNNIC Bring Supercharging to the Roof of the World

CATL and SUNNIC are responding to the national strategy of aiding Tibet and the "14th Five-Year Plan for Renewable Energy Development," striving to provide substantial support for the development of western regions. They are not only actively participating in energy planning and layout but also offering convenient supercharging technology and services for new energy vehicles in Tibet. As per the plan, the first supercharging station in Motuo will be equipped with SUNNIC's cutting-edge microgrid supercharging system and platform. It can simultaneously provide charging services to dozens of new energy vehicles, combined with the remarkable performance of CATL's batteries, offering the "400-kilometer journey on a 10-minute charge" 4C charging service. This will facilitate the convenience of technology-driven green services for the people of Motuo and global tourists.

Empowering Electrification on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau: SUNNIC's Supercharging Technology in Action

The clean environment and scenic beauty of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, formed by the collision of tectonic plates, are a testament to the pure beauty of Earth. However, the mountainous terrain and volatile weather conditions pose significant challenges to the development of new energy infrastructure. Nevertheless, through the deployment of multifunctional and highly protective supercharging systems and technology, Motuo County will establish the best-performing high-altitude supercharging station in Tibet. This will provide green supercharging services for local residents' daily travel needs and contribute to cultural tourism and economic development.

Representatives from the National Energy Administration Planning Division, China National Energy Media Group Co., Ltd., Tibet Autonomous Region Energy Administration, Linzhi Municipal Development and Reform Commission Energy Office, and Shanghai SUNNIC, among others, were present at the signing ceremony.
