SUNNIC's First European Smart PV, Energy Storage and EV Charging Station Officially Goes Live

October 16, 2023

Kapuvár, Hungary, October 16th - SUNNIC marked a significant milestone with the official opening of its pioneering overseas PV, Energy Storage and EV Charging station. The SUNNIC-Intretech Hungary PV, Energy Storage and EV Charging station, a collaborative venture between SUNNIC and Intretech Hungary, signifies the official launch of the European PV,Energy Storage and Charging Industry Alliance. The Alliance is dedicated to the goal of electrifying Hungary and driving the development of the new energy industry in the broader European region.

With the rapid rise of China's new energy industry and electric vehicles and the impact of energy crises, new energy vehicles have gained significant popularity in Europe, with some countries achieving over an 80% penetration rate. However, while new energy vehicle ownership has increased, the charging infrastructure in Europe has struggled to keep up. Over the past five years, the ratio of new energy vehicles to public charging stations in Europe has increased from 6.9:1 to 16.4:1, leading to a growing gap in services.

As an enterprise with years of experience in the PV, energy storage and EV charging industry, SUNNIC was quick to notice energy challenges such as the 'energy crisis' and 'difficulty finding charging stations' in Europe in 2022. In response, at the end of 2022, SUNNIC initiated the first 'European PV, Energy Storage and EV Charging Industry Alliance' to bring together advanced energy industry chains from both domestic and international sources to optimize the energy structure throughout the European region. The SUNNIC- Intretech Hungary PV, energy storage and EV charging intelligent station is a project that was nurtured in this context. The station can simultaneously charge multiple vehicles with a maximum power output of 500 kW, effectively meeting the new energy supplementation needs in northwestern Hungary. The inclusion of solar panels and storage systems also considers the use of green and sustainable energy.

The opening ceremony was attended by the General Manager of Intretech Hungary, Mr. Wei Zifeng, and SUNNIC's CTO, Mr. Zhang Xu, among other distinguished guests. They both expressed that the "SUNNIC-Intretech Hungary PV, Energy Storage and EV Charging Intelligent Station" is the result of collaborative efforts from both companies. The station not only serves the new energy vehicle supplementation needs in the region but also marks the beginning of low-carbon and zero-carbon industrial zone and factory projects, taking the first step toward electrifying Hungary, and showcasing the achievements of Chinese enterprises venturing abroad, developing overseas, and exporting technology. They hope that more domestic companies will leverage their strengths and make their mark in international business, allowing the world to experience the power of China.

In the future, SUNNIC will continue to deepen its cooperation with various international partners, using Hungary as a starting point to drive the electrification transformation in Central and Northern Europe and other countries. Through the ongoing advancement of new energy projects such as 'solar energy storage and charging' and 'smart microgrids,' we are committed to providing innovative energy solutions for Hungary and the entire European region, promoting sustainable and efficient energy development in Europe.
