SUNNIC’s First AI Microgrid Project Lands in the Yangtze River Delta

April 26, 2024

As China's industrial 4.0 accelerates, manufacturing enterprises are increasingly introducing high-power and high-precision production equipment, leading to a rapid increase in electricity demand. Issues such as inadequate distribution and high electricity costs have become key factors hindering the improvement of factory production efficiency. In order to assist large industrial enterprises in effectively coping with the growing pressure of electricity demand and reducing electricity costs, SUNNIC has introduced an integrated solution with microgrid energy storage at its core. Recently, it was officially launched in the Yangtze River Delta region.

In response to project demands, SUNNIC has custom-crafted energy storage equipment and an energy management system with a total capacity of 1MW/1.86MWh. This solution efficiently supports the daily industrial electricity consumption of the park while providing backup power reserves. The project incorporates CATL battery cells, known for their extended cycle life, ensuring the park's electricity consumption remains secure. Leveraging SUNNIC’s proprietary AI+EMS management system, the project achieves deep coordination between the park and the grid. This integration optimizes local generation, grid interaction, load management, and storage resources, enabling intelligent and flexible operation.

SUNNIC’s source-grid -load-storage (SGLS) projects are now operational in East and Southwest Chian, boosting energy efficiency and sustainability. With a dedicated team and tailored solutions for various projects, SUNNIC drives the efficient application of green energy to support China’s environmental goals, providing stable, efficient, and secure energy solutions for enterprises and industrial parks.
