CATL and SUNNIC Launch First Supercharging Station in Medog County

June 12, 2024

On June 4th, CATL and SUNNIC officially launched a supercharging station in Medog County, addressing the lack of public charging infrastructure in this remote region of Tibet. Resembling a lotus blooming amidst the snowy mountains, the station will continuously provide ultra-fast charging services to local new energy vehicles, turning the dream of green travel into reality.

At the inauguration ceremony, Qu Tao, Co-Director of CATL's Corporate Planning Department and Chairman of Shanghai Sunnic New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., emphasized CATL's commitment to driving the development of the new energy industry and optimizing regional energy structures through technological innovation.

The Medog County Supercharging station, built with clean and renewable energy as its goal, utilizes SUNNIC's high-power supercharging equipment to offer a quick and safe charging experience. Vehicles equipped with CATL's Shenxing batteries can achieve over 500 kilometers of range with just a ten-minute charge, supporting the goals of zero-carbon Tibet, electrified transportation, and an extensive supercharging network.
